Senior year is bittersweet. You’re proud of who your student has become, excited about what’s next, and maybe a little heartbroken about how fast it all went. As a San Diego Senior Photographer serving San Diego, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, Rancho Santa Fe, and all surrounding areas, I create timeless, confident portraits that celebrate this milestone with authenticity and style. I recommend booking several months in advance, ideally during the summer or early fall before senior year, to ensure availability for spring sessions when demand is highest and to give you plenty of time for yearbook deadlines, graduation announcements, and all the celebrations that come with this exciting chapter.
San Diego senior sessions are designed around personality, not templates. Before we ever meet, I send a questionnaire to learn about your senior’s interests, style, and what makes them feel confident, so the experience feels personal and true to who they are. Sessions take place at stunning locations throughout San Diego: beautiful beaches like Oceanside Pier and South Carlsbad State Beach, scenic trails with spring wildflowers and natural beauty, and fun urban spots in downtown Encinitas and Solana Beach, offering cool textures and pops of color. I offer a curated wardrobe for female seniors with gorgeous dresses to choose from, and I provide styling guidance for everyone to create variety and ensure outfits photograph beautifully.

Where do senior sessions take place?
I provide styling guidance and access to a curated wardrobe for female seniors. I typically recommend 2-3 outfits to create variety, and suggest bringing lighter colors for beach or trail sessions. If you have a special letter jacket, team jersey, or college sweatshirt, definitely bring it!
What should I wear for my senior session?
I recommend booking several months in advance to ensure you get your preferred date and location. Spring is the most popular season and fills up quickly, so booking early gives you the best options and plenty of time for yearbook deadlines and graduation announcements.
When should I book my senior session?
Sessions typically last about an hour to an hour and a half, which gives us time to capture multiple outfits and locations without feeling rushed. We work at a relaxed pace so you feel comfortable and enjoy the experience.
How long do senior sessions last?
Most seniors feel this way, and I completely understand! I specialize in making sessions fun, natural, and comfortable with gentle guidance so you know exactly what to do. By the end, most students tell me they actually enjoyed it!
What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
Yes! Professional hair and makeup is a great option for female seniors who want a little extra pampering and want to feel confident and camera-ready. I have great referrals to share. It’s completely optional but highly recommended.
Do you offer hair and makeup for senior sessions?
Absolutely! Parents are welcome to come along and enjoy watching this milestone moment. I promise the experience will be stress-free and fun, and you’ll leave with beautiful images you’ll cherish.
Can my parents come to the session?
Your carefully curated and hand-edited gallery will be ready within 2 weeks after your session. I’ll then guide you through selecting your favorites and choosing custom wall art, albums, or digital files for sharing and announcements.
