Sessions usually last 2-3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and working at your baby’s natural pace. There’s never any rushing, and we take as many breaks as needed to keep your little one comfortable.
How long do newborn sessions typically last?
You don’t need to bring anything at all! As a San Diego Newborn Photographer, my studio is fully equipped with everything needed, including a curated wardrobe for mother and baby, swaddles, props, and all the essentials for a beautiful session.
What should I bring to my newborn session?
The best time to book is during your second trimester to ensure availability. Sessions are typically scheduled when babies are between 1-3 weeks old, but if your baby has already arrived, please reach out—I can still create stunning portraits at any age.
When should I book my San Diego newborn Photo session?

Do you offer professional hair and makeup?
Absolutely. With over 17 years of experience and as a mother of six, I’m trained in safe newborn handling and posing. Your baby’s safety and comfort are always my top priority.
Is your San Diego studio safe for newborns?
Fussiness is completely normal and expected! We’ll take breaks for feeding, soothing, and cuddling as needed. The session is entirely baby-led, so there’s no pressure or timeline we have to follow.
What happens if my baby is fussy during the session?
Of course! I love capturing the whole family welcoming your new baby. I have wardrobe options available and will gently guide everyone through natural, meaningful poses.
Can siblings and parents be included in the session?
Your carefully curated and hand-edited gallery will be ready within 2-3 weeks after your session. I’ll then walk you through the process of selecting your favorites and choosing artwork or products.
