When To Schedule Maternity Photos

As a San Diego CA area maternity photographer, one of the leading questions I’m asked is when to schedule maternity photos. Understandably, moms are concerns about how they will feel in the third trimester, close to the due date. With sleep becoming a rare commodity and an ever-growing belly, it can have moms second guessing if they want to go through with maternity photos. But friend, I promise that is the perfect time to pamper yourself.

I suggest booking your maternity portraits at the beginning of the second trimester for some time between 30-34 weeks, when your belly is beautifully round and you’re still feeling pretty comfortable. Please know though, that I understand circumstances can be different for everyone and that the guideline is flexible!
