Should you book a San Diego pregnancy photoshoot? The answer is “YES!”
Pregnancy is simply a miracle. Think about it. Our bodies get to stretch well over twice their size just so that we can bring new life into this world, essentially making us a vital life source. That, to me, is something that’s worth celebrating, and what better way to do that than through a pregnancy photoshoot. The truth is, you might not always feel like your most beautiful self during this time, but that beautiful bump is also a huge source of love, happiness, and hope. These are all deserving to be captured.
Before I explain why booking a pregnancy photoshoot is important, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a professional photographer based in San Diego, specializing in maternity, newborn, and family photography. There’s a reason I chose to specialize in this niche. For me, family has always been the most precious thing in life. But sometimes, we don’t always feel like that, taking each other for granted, especially as our children grow up and venture out on their own. I believe that capturing the moments with our loved ones are powerful reminders of the precious moments we had with them and the reasons why we love them so much in the first place. Therefore, if you are in the market for a San Diego maternity photographer? Look no further.
Expecting a little angel soon? Here are some of the reasons you should definitely book a maternity photography session.
The last few months of your pregnancy may not always feel the best. An aching back, swollen legs, sleepless nights, and frequent heartburns can do that to you. But believe it or not, you are going to miss these moments and especially your sweet baby bump. As you watch your baby reach those important milestones like crawling or walking, you are going to reminisce about the moments before all this. Maternity photos are a wonderful record of this period and will remind you of what a superwoman you are.
For most, pregnancy is a time full of joy, happiness, and excitement. However, it’s also a time of planning and uncertainty. Booking a pregnancy photoshoot is a reminder of the eager moments before your child was born. Websites like bump.com recommend booking your pregnancy photoshoot between 28-32 weeks. I find that anytime after 30 weeks is ideal.
Expecting a child inevitably changes your relationship with your partner. You will grow from a couple to a family. A pregnancy photoshoot allows you to bond with your partner, affording both of you time to reflect on the life you have built or wish to build together. If this is your first child, a pregnancy photoshoot is your chance to capture the final moments as you evolve from a couple to a family. If this is not your first pregnancy, capturing the excitement of your other children is a beautiful thing as well! This maternity session also featured older siblings. They were so excited to meet their new baby sister!
San Diego and the surrounding areas are gorgeous. We have beautiful beaches, trails, and scenery to take advantage of. A gorgeous expecting mama combined with a stunning beach sunset is one of my favorite things to capture. Let’s make some art for your home!
It’s easy to neglect yourself once you are pregnant. Yes, you might be eating well and getting enough rest, but do these things make you feel pampered? A pregnancy photoshoot is a great excuse to get all dressed up. Get a fresh manicure, get pampered and even go on a date with your partner after. My goal as a San Diego maternity photographer is to capture your pregnancy in all its glory. As part of this, I always strive to make you feel your most beautiful self.
Generally, you can never go wrong with a pregnancy photoshoot, and when you choose me, I will go above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience. Get in touch here and book your special day!
