San Diego Family and Military Photography

Happy Monday everyone! I am starting this week by posting a sneak peek for a very special family, taken on location at Camp Pendleton in North San Diego County.

I was beyond thrilled when Stephanie asked if I would do some family photography for them up at Camp Pendleton. Her husband Ryan is a CH-46E pilot in the Marines. Not only is Ryan retiring from the Marines next year, but the helicopters he flies are also being transitioned out, replaced by the Ospreys. It was pretty amazing to see the two choppers. You could still see bullet holes from a tour in Vietnam.

I met Stephanie and her beautiful daughter a while back when she was attending the same preschool as my oldest daughter, Riley. I had the pleasure of doing her maternity and newborn photography for their second child. They are such a beautiful family. I was so thrilled to have this opportunity to photograph her family and this milestone.

I love doing family and military photography sessions like these! They sacrifice so much for our freedom, it is the least I can do.
