Planning a San Diego Summer Vacation

Are you planning a San Diego summer vacation?

With vacation around the corner, so many families are booking vacations and coming to sunny California! From the stunning beaches to attractions like Legoland, the San Diego Zoo, and Belmont Park, San Diego has no shortage of things to do on family vacation. There are a ton of great, free options when it comes to getting the most out of your family vacation in San Diego, too. Below are just a few of my favorite ideas to consider when planning a San Diego summer vacation:

Plan a day at one of San Diego’s many beaches, ranked top in the nation.

Bring the sunscreen, play in the sand, and dip your toes in the Pacific ocean! Some of my favorite beached include Cardiff, Moonlight Beach and Torrey Pines just to name a few! Moonlight is especially fun with the playground, large restroom facility & snack bar.

Visit La Jolla Cove

Take a peek at the local seals that love to sun themselves on the warm sand at the La Jolla Children’s Pool or head over to La Jolla Shores for some easy surf that’s perfect for beginners.

Up for a drive on your San Diego Summer Vacation?

Consider exploring the 59-Mile Scenic Drive which winds you through charming neighborhoods and along a scenic ocean drive to reveal some of San Diego’s unique landscape.

Go museum hopping in Balboa Park.

Enjoy a walk through Balboa Park and marvel at its stunning Spanish Colonial Revival architecture. There is a ton to do there, in addition to the unique architecture. Balboa Park is home to over 18 world-class museums!
