Newborn Photography Session

I was super excited to get a message recently asking me to do a newborn photography session for not one, but TWO baby boys for a previous client of mine. I did their daughter’s newborn photography session about two years ago here in San Diego, CA and I was thrilled to learn they just added two new brothers to their beautiful family. Mom and Dad sure are busy now, but they seem to be handling it like long time pros. How cute are these little guys?

It was definitely a lot trickier working with multiples, but the session actually flowed nicely. While one was getting fed and settled, I was able to work with the other baby to get some solo shots. The boys were pretty awake for a good chunk of the session. They were already 6 weeks old which is 4-5 weeks older than most newborns I shoot. The boy’s actual due date still hasn’t arrived believe it or not. They were born at 32 weeks. Those first few weeks were spent in the NICU and now they are growing like little weeds! I’m so glad I was able to capture these little cuties.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how their personalities develop. It’s so neat to see siblings grow up together and capture their milestones along the way. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the newborn photography session.

If you’re interested in booking a newborn photography session, please contact me here. I would love to chat with you about capturing your sweet little one’s milestone moments.

When most people think of newborn photography, they automatically think of posed studio shots with the baby all swaddled up in a white sheet looking impossibly cute. While this type of photography is definitely beautiful, it’s not the only option. There are many different styles to choosefrom when it comes to photographing newborns, and the best way to find out what will work best for you is to schedule a consultation with a professional photographer.

Many photographers, like myself, offer a free consultation so that you can discuss your needs and wants for the session. During the consultation, we will also go over pricing and packages, so you can find the right option for you.

Some things to consider when booking a newborn photography session:

  • What type of photography style do you prefer? studio, lifestyle, outdoor?
  • How many hours of coverage do you need? most newborn sessions last 2-3 hours
  • Do you want digital files or prints?
  • What type of props and backdrops do you want?
  • How many people will be in the photographs?

If you’re still not sure what to choose, that’s okay! A professional photographer can help you decide on what will work best for your family. Contact me today to schedule a free consultation! San Diego newborn photography.

Enjoy the sneak peek!
