Whew! I made it through one of my last fully booked weekends before Thanksgiving arrives. It was so nice catching up with a lot of my past clients as well as some new ones this year as well. I did have one extra special family photography session this past Saturday though. I met Ryan, the lead chaplain for Rady Children’s Hospital down in San Diego almost exactly a year ago. Ryan was one of, what I would consider, the unfortunate few to come to my house the day my husband was killed in an accident on his way to work a year ago. Ryan’s calm, comforting, and extremely wise demeanor and words helped me through the hardest day in my entire life. He gave the service for Eddie a week later and is like family to me now. He offers wonderful advice and I am just amazed at what he does. He has a gift. That gift not only helped me that fateful day, but has continued to help me get through these rough times. When Ryan wanted to surprise his wife with a family photography session, I was so thrilled he asked me to take the photographs!
Ryan’s family was so fun to work with. The kids were beyond adorable and so funny. His wife was as sweet as could be. I am so glad she will have some new family photographs to put up on the walls. I wish I would have met this wonderful family under different circumstances, but I am so grateful to have people like this in my life now. These pictures I am providing for them don’t even scratch the surface on how much I feel like I owe people like Ryan. I feel very blessed to call him and his family friends.
Enjoy the sneak peek!
